Bookin' It

The last few months, I have actually craved reading and have had the time to do it, too!  This spring, I have read the following:
  1. The Help by Kathryn Stockett (Jackson MS in the 60's - need I say more?)
  2. Still Alice by Lisa Genova (eye opening)
  3. Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay (historical fiction, sad but great story)
  4. Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah (needed about a box of kleenex to finish it)
  5. Pope Joan by Donna Wolfolk Cross (legend, but pretty convincing author's note)
  6. Lush Life by Richard Price (fabulous, gritty, well written)
  7. Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear (didn't like it, AT ALL)
  8. The Choice by Nicholas Sparks (beach read)
  9. Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks (beach read again)
  10. and another that I hated, and don't remember the name of the book nor the author.
So, I have been doing LOTS of reading.  and I have some book club selections (I am in two!) that I am excited about.
  1. Twelve Fingers
  2. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society
  3. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret
  4. Night
I think this will be the summer of reading as well.  I have already stocked up on a few.
  1. Captivating (for a bible study group) by John & Stasi Eldredge
  2. Crazy Love by Francis Chan
  3. Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
  4. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

  1. I've joined a book club too. First time ever. We're on our 3rd month, and the book is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which is also on my list. I've just started it; I like it so far. :) And I've read both of the Nicholas Sparks on your list. He's my fav.
